Kris is the mainstay of the business, and the original founder/Director. He has extensive experience in project and facility management in educational and local body institutions and is also recognised as an industry leader in the management of aquatic facilities; having been involved both as an operator and in a supervisory capacity since the mid 1990’s. He further enhanced his broad understanding of facilities through his work as Property Manager for Sacred Heart College where he was responsible for compliance, health and safety, master planning, contractor management and coordination. Watershed continues to provide those services to the College on a contractual basis.
From Kris’ experience, it became apparent that there was a great opportunity for service improvement within the education and recreation sectors. This led to the launch of Watershed in 2006, which is focused on improving systems, driven out of the need to lift service levels and improve client satisfaction.
Kris is committed to approaching Watershed’s work and clients in a collaborative manner, with an understanding that “the brains of many” contribute to great outcomes. This approach underpins the space we work in, the manner in which Watershed engages with its clients, and the way we deliver our tasks.
Projects within the sectors he works in are generally expected to be delivered within a defined budget and with a wide range of stakeholder expectations. Kris has the ability to listen and understand a client’s varied needs and offer input based on his experience. Not afraid to challenge a position, Kris will often offer options or solutions that are cost effective, pragmatic and consider long-term operational needs.
Kris is committed to ensuring that all of the work that Watershed is involved in understands long-term asset management requirements and day to day operational needs, and believes that Watershed’s long-standing and growing client list is a reflection of consistent delivery and enthusiasm of the team.
